Back and Neck Pain

Back and Neck PainAlmost everyone experiences back or neck pain in their life. Bad posture, car accidents, or just regular activity like reading can cause misalignment, arthritis, or any number of other problems. These simple strains can be debilitating and physical therapy can give a patient the tools they need to take good care of this sensitive region.

There are a few important signs that indicate when pain is more than a simple strain. Chronic pain usually gets worse and can cause sleeplessness, and daily interference. It will often progress despite medication.

At Petersen Physical Therapy, we work together with patients and their physicians to achieve maximum level of healing in the shortest amount of time possible. The therapist will begin with a detailed history and evaluation of the problem and then design a unique treatment plan, which can include:

  • Ultrasound Treatment
  • Moist Heat or Ice
  • Therapeutic Exercises
  • Manual Stretches
  • Joint Mobilization Techniques
  • Electrical Stimulation
  • A number of other techniques
